On top of it being a wagon, it’s a 6 speed manual trans! In the D3 Battle Wagon, even trips to the grocery store are all the more fun with 700 HP The build concept for the D3 Battle Wagon was to completely upgrade all OEM components with the most aggressive bolt on parts possible. The result is an ultra fun, track worthy station wagon! Release: Signal Hill, CA – June 18th 2011, The 700 Horsepower CTS-V Station Wagon dubbed “The Battle Wagon” has been completed for delivery to its eagerly awaiting pilot. “CTS-V wagons are a still a rarity, on top of that finding a white 6 speed manual was like trying to locate Atlantis!” Says John B. the owner of the Battle Wagon. “The second I heard that Cadillac was going to launch the CTS-V in wagon form I knew it would be my next car, I have always loved wagons, from the E39 5 series to the Audi S4 Wagon now to the Cadillac CTS-V Wagon. With less than 500 miles on the clock the wagon was booked for an appointment at the D3 Motorsport Laboratory which is D3’s in house tuning center. The tuning concept of The D3 Battle Wagon is to encompass manageable amounts of horsepower, allowing for a balanced, but track worthy grocery getter. To complete the Wagon the Motorsport Laboratory has broken the build into 3 categories; Performance, Efficiency & Chassis Tuning. A wide range of Performance Tuning Equipment manufactured by D3 has been utilized to upgrade the performance characteristics of the Cadillac CTS-V’s LSA power plant. The Pulley System has been upgraded via the D3 Stage 2 Performance Pulley Kit allowing for a mind numbing 13.5 PSI of boost out of the factory Eaton 1.9L Blower that has been Blueprinted to D3’s specifications. To feed this boost monster the D3 Air Intake, D3 Billet Throttle Body and D3 Supercharger Lid Spacer have been installed. Exhaust work has been provided by the Kooks Long Tube Headers, Kooks X-Pipe with Race Catalytic Converts and the CORSA touring mufflers. These upgrades have yielded a raw horsepower gain of 140 wheel horse power. To keep the D3 Battle Wagon ready for action all of its cooling has been upgraded via the gamut of D3|ULTRACOOLERS. The ULTRACOOLER systems include the D3 Front Mount Heat Exchanger (Intercooler) the D3 Competition Oil Cooler, and the D3 Competition Radiator. The chassis has been dialed in via the D3 suspension suite including: The D3 Competition Lowering Springs, the D3 Competition Sway Bar Kit, D3 Chassis Bracing, D3 Stainless Steel Brake Lines and Alcon 2pc Competition Rotors. “When everything is said and done, I have a complete competition ready CTS-V, and the best part is that it’s a wagon!” |
