D3 | ULTRACHARGER What is an ULTRACHARGER ? The D3 ULTRACHARGER is a complete replacement Supercharger System for the CTS-V D3 ULTRACHARGER Kits are designed to be the ultimate forced induction upgrade. The D3 ULTRACHARGER Kits have been designed to surpass even the core manufactures output as well as fit seamlessly into their defined application. ULTRACHARGER Kits offer a complete solution by offering all components required to facilitate a perfect install. All D3 compendium parts are manufactured in the USA. To ensures a consistent error free product all manufactured components have been blueprinted to extraordinarily exacting standards allowing for flawless duplication and consistent performance. This means every kit that is assembled will be as efficient and have the same potential for horsepower output as our own in house built cars. Isnt my CTS-V already supercharged ? Yes the CTS-V is already supercharged. But the OEM equipped supercharger is merely 1.9L. For the majority of CTS-V owners this is adequate, and in our opinion the 1.9 L OEM Equipped EATON blowers can excel when modified and can propel the vehicle into near stratospheric performance numbers. But for a select few the performance of the CTS-V OEM Eaton Blower is not enough. This is where the ULTRACHARGER becomes a plausible option. The D3 ULTRACHARGER package(s) allow for a complete blower upgrade by replacing the OEM Equipped Eaton 1.9L blower with a larger more efficient blower. By increasing the physical displacement of the supercharger the CTS-V is now capable of performing above and beyond the original output of the CTS-V. How will my CTS-V Feel ? Frighteningly Street-Like. Even though the D3 ULTRACHARGER is a massive upgrade to the OEM CTS-V it is still essentially a Bolt On Performance Item. D3 | ULTRACHARGER Kit: Stage 1 – 2.3L 2.3L | up to 900 BHP (+253.66 BHP / +239.66 TQ on OEM Motor + Mild Cam) The Stage 1 ULTRACHARGER kit is designed to function within the confines of the OEM CTS-V motor. Although you do not need to upgrade or build the OEM motor D3 recommends the use of a more aggressive camshaft as well as upgrading the cast OEM pistons to forged pistons. The Stage 1 ULTRACHARGER when used on an OEM CTS-V Motor can yield an incredible horsepower and torque gain. The 2.3L Supercharger can accommodate upwards of 20 LBS of boost allowing upwards of 900 BHP on vehicles with motors built accommodating this level of horse power. D3 | ULTRACHARGER Kit: Stage 2 – 2.8L* 2.8L | up to 1000 HP The Stage 2 ULTRACHARGER kit is designed to function within the confines of the OEM CTS-V motor also. However to achieve the true potential of this system it is recommended that the engine/short block be built to handle the additional output of the Stage 2 ULTRACHARGER. The Stage 2 ULTRACHARGER will provide 2.8L of compressed air and efficiently run it through the motor with the greatest of ease. The effective duty cycle of the engine assembly is working at a much lower rate due to the drastic increase in air being generated by the 2.8L ULTRACHARGER. Since the supercharger does not have to work as hard to generate the same CFM, that a smaller more inefficient blower would, less heat is the natural byproduct. The result will be the ULTRACHARGER System will generate the same HP with the greatest of ease without all the heat. Of course that is if you keep the boost levels down to the 8-11 psi range. If you are looking into the Stage 2 ULTRACHARGER System you have very bad intentions already. For those that are looking for WHEEL HORSEPOWER NUMBERS over 800, this is your system. No bottles (NOS) required getting these numbers. Just raw HP/TQ the old fashion way and some quality engineering! This system will generate over 20 psi if you are in search of the big numbers. The best part about all of this is that it will bolt into place without any major modifications or permanent modifications to the vehicle. The kit comes with all components and hardware required for installation. Just because we have added copious amounts of power and torque that we forgot one second about the fact that this is a Cadillac. D3 | ULTRACHARGER System Stage 3 – 3.6L 3.6L | up to 1400 HP The Stage 3 ULTRACHARGER kit is designed to function within the confines of the OEM CTS-V motor also. However to achieve the true potential of this system it is seriously recommended that the engine/short block be built to handle the additional output of the Stage 3 ULTRACHARGER. This is the big bad brother to the Stage 2 ULTRACHARGER System, THE Stage 3. Designed to be the pinnacle of bolt on blower performance, THE Stage 3 will not leave you yearning for more. We are talking about 3.6L worth of displacement through the ULTRACHARGER sitting on top of a motor no smaller than 6.2L. This is more than half of the displacement of your OEM motor sitting on top of it feeding the engine. In other words you have a V6 CTS base motor feeding your engine!!! Why does size matter? If we use this example of the supercharger spinning (2) revolutions for every (1) engine revolution the breakdown would be as follows: In typical D3 fashion this system will be a complete system ready for installation. Notes Proper Installation D3 ULTRACHARGER Systems require professional and meticulous attention to detail during the installation & tuning phase. We recommend that the ULTRACHARGER kit be installed at our facility in Signal Hill, CA. If you are unable to ship your vehicle to us arrangements can be made for our installation and test team to come to your location and/or Country to facilitate the building and installation of the D3 ULTRACHARGER for your Cadillac. Forged Engine Recomendations While not required, D3 strongly recommends that forged engine internals be installed for any ULTRACHARGER kit.
